Well done to Jana Braun-Wilson for setting a new personal best time of 38.4 seconds in the 50m breast stroke, as she represented the school in the English Schools’ Divisional Swimming Trials, held at the Huddersfield Leisure Centre on Saturday 17 October.
Although competing against swimmers from over thirty schools and swimming clubs from across the country, with many national champions amongst them, Jana and her fellow team members put in a tremendous performance, securing an overall eighth placing in the freestyle heats and narrowly missing out on the national finals.
‘This was a very tough competition for the girls, but they all rose to the challenge and put in a commendable performance. I am very proud of all of them’, said Mrs Grant.
