The Inspiring Women of Yorkshire Programme is the Bradford Girls’ Grammar School careers initiative which invites former pupils of the school, along with women who have a strong connection to the region, to get involved in the careers guidance provided for sixth form students.
By offering advice, sharing experiences and imparting knowledge about their chosen profession, participants are able to provide a valuable insight into a range of possible career options which can guide and often inspire students as they finalise decisions about their future.
Hence, the programme encourages ‘Inspiring Women of Yorkshire’ to inspire the next generation of Yorkshire women.
We have already welcomed visitors in the field of Psychology, Dentistry, Forensics, the Arts and Medicine with authors, teachers, lawyers, scientists and even a retired judge has signed up to visit the school in the next academic year.
If you would be interested in getting involved in the programme by speaking to our students, please register here. Meetings are generally held with small groups of students and are quite informal and relaxed – the choice of presentation style is entirely up to the participant.
