We pride ourselves on valuing the girls as individuals and have obtained an excellent reputation for pastoral care which ensures that throughout the school, all girls are well-cared for, known and respected as individuals. Support for parents is offered as and when required. The rules of the school are simple and the pupils are expected to be courteous, responsible and considerate of others. In the Senior School, the form teacher is responsible for the day to day management of the form and monitors progress of the girls, encouraging their all-round development. The form teacher is supported in her/his role by the senior manager in charge of pastoral care. At Key Stage 4, tutor groups are small enabling tutors to get to know their girls very well indeed. Our system of rewards enables the individual to fulfil her true potential both academically and pastorally and enables her to feel comfortable within the school environment. The house system enables girls from all year groups to work together and offer support to each other. Girls are encouraged to take leadership roles both within their form and within their house and enjoy a range of Our structured life skills programme is designed to acknowledge the values of the school and care for the individual. It helps girls achieve their personal best in life and promotes self-esteem, responsibility and the motivation to maintain respect for others and positive relationships. Within each year group, the programme includes work on all issues of personal, social and health education as well as citizenship and globalisation. The strong sense of belonging and working together which runs throughout the school enables the girls to develop into young woman who are thoughtful, articulate and self-assured. They leave the school with a sense of purpose and ready to face the future. Download Senior School Prospectus This document is a large file and may take 2 to 3 minutes to download.
