SCHOOL UNIFORM
uniform
From August 2009 Rawcliffes have been engaged to provide school uniform for pupils in both preparatory and senior schools.
The BGGS uniform will be available from Rawcliffes at their Darley Street shop in Bradford. Rawcliffes supply uniform for a large number of schools in Yorkshire and as a school we are confident they will provide a reliable and efficient service Rawcliffes's uniform items are compulsory for pupils joining the school from 2009 onwards. All other pupils will be required to weat the Rawcliffe's uniform from 2010
PE kit can be ordered from Kukri Sports via school.  Cheques should be made payable to BGGS.

SCHOOL UNIFORM (SENIOR SCHOOL)

Regulation skirt (choice of styles), school blouse, blazer
Footwear: brown, navy or black shoes (Heels should not be more than 2”/5cm high.  Stiletto heels are not allowed.)
Socks or tights should be unobtrusive; black or navy.
White socks may be worn in summer
Hair bands, bobbles, ribbons and slides: navy, brown or black.
Optional: regulation trousers, navy sweater, scarf, fleece.

One pair of plain ear studs may be worn - one in each ear lobe.  Other items of jewellery are not allowed.  No other visible body piercing is allowed.  If hair is dyed it should look natural.
All items MUST be clearly marked with the girl’s own name.
Headscarves may be worn for religious reasons but they must be plain navy or black.  However, where there are Health & Safety concerns, girls may be asked to remove them temporarily or wear a close-fitting head cover.

Upper Fifth are allowed to wear a black suit (skirt or trouser) with a plain blouse or t-shirt of any colour.  They may also wear a smart outdoor coat (black) of their own choosing.  Shoes should be brown, navy or black and of a sensible height (not greater than 2”/5cm).  Stiletto heels are not allowed.  Boots and trainers are not allowed.  Girls will be allowed to wear discreet make-up and jewellery to complement the outfit.

Sixth Form are required to wear a suit (skirt or trouser).  The jacket must match the skirt or trousers.  Blouses and t-shirts must be plain (no logos and no strap t-shirts).  Shoes /boots should be sensible and match the smart appearance of the suit.  Stiletto heels are not allowed.

All items of school uniform (except footwear & PE Kit) are available only from the school uniform suppliers. Sizing samples are available in school.
PE kit can be ordered from Kukri Sports via school.  Cheques should be made payable to BGGS.
