Lady Royd Primary

Activity Passports

Giving our children the opportunity to try new things and develop new skills is hugely beneficial. It can help children to grow in confidence, expand their understanding of the world around them, or introduce a hobby or passion that could last for years to come. We have therefore introduced our own Lady Royd Passport for every child.

The Lady Royd Activity Passport has a list of carefully planned activities and adventures or each year group to work through during the year. Some of these can be completed in school and others at home. Within the list, children should find somethings they have never done before and other activities they may want to experience again to develop their confidence, develop their curiosity and support their emotional well-being.

When children have taken part in activity at home, they will be encouraged to bring in a photograph, object etc. to school to share with their classmates and teacher. They can then tick off the activity in their passport and chose another one.

As children regularly update their passport, we will celebrate and share their achievements and successes.
