Students at Bradford Girls’ Grammar School are once again celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results.
Standout successes include Malaika Amini who achieved 7 grade 9’s (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language, English Literature, Spanish), with a further 8 and 7 grade in Mathematics and Music respectively.
Maryam Ellam achieved 6 grade 9’s (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, Geography and Mathematics), with GCSE grade 7’s in both English Literature and English Language. In addition, she gained an outstanding A* with Distinction in Further Mathematics – a new grading which is only awarded to the very highest performers.
Sahar Ali, photographed above with Mrs Matthews, was congratulated on her outstanding set of results – a grade 9 in French, and 7 grade 8’s (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Drama, History, English Literature and Mathematics), with a further grade 6 in English Literature.
Zainab Razwan and Halima Nazir also joined the high achieving cohort with straight A’s or above, across all nine of their GCSE results.
Mrs Matthews said: “We are delighted with this year’s GCSE results which reflect the hard work and dedication of all our students, and are particularly proud of our results in Maths and English which once again far exceed national average figures”.
