Highly experienced Sixth Form tutors work closely with students intending to apply for higher education offering mock interview opportunities and helping with preparation for individual university entry tests.
Small study groups mean that tutors can spend time with each student to work through university applicants and personal statements. Admissions tutors from a wide range of universities provide advice on the process from start to finish.
In the summer term, students have the opportunity to attend Open Days at leading universities including Oxford and Cambridge.
Additionally, students are encouraged to take on posts of responsibility within the school and out in the wider community, which further develop leadership, organisation and communication skills in preparation for the opportunities and challenges ahead. Extra-curricular activities also help Sixth Form students become confident and ‘rounded’ university applicants.
The recently introduced EPQ also offers a valuable opportunity for students to differentiate themselves further form other university applicants.
“Bradford Girls' Grammar School has an excellent track record for matching Sixth Form students with their first choice universities. ”
