Lady Royd Primary
To enhance and support the various areas of the curriculum throughout the year, children take part in a range of themed days or weeks. Examples include: One Britain One Nation, ASPIRE day, Anti-Bullying Week and Safer Internet Day
We are committed to supporting a range of charities and teaching our pupils it is important to support local communities and society. We ensure we support charity events such as Children in Need, Red Nose Day, Poppy Appeal whilst pupils are also actively encouraged to raise money for other charities such as Amnesty International by organising events of their choice for example, bake sales, loom band toys shop and dress-down days.
Each Year Reception perform a Christmas nativity, whilst Year 1 and 2 perform a Christmas/Winter play. At the end of Year 6, children perform a musical production which is popular with parents and always an outstanding production.
