We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

Cover Supervisor (2) - Primary and Secondary

To deliver pre-planned work in the classroom for absent colleagues. Ensuring that students are engaged in pre-set work, managing student behaviour and ensuring a safe environment. 

We are seeking to appoint two new Cover Supervisors to join our team of dedicated, hard-working teaching staff. One position will focus primarily on cover in Lady Royd Primary and the other in our Senior School. These positions have resulted due to the need for additional cover due to Covid and will provide enhanced capacity along with our existing cover supervisor.

The key function of the roles will be to deliver pre-planned work in the classroom for absent colleagues, ensuring that students are engaged in pre-set work, managing student behaviour and ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Working time: 8am to 4pm (1/2 hour for lunch) Term Time Only plus INSET days 36 week term
Salary/Grade: £18,947

Food and Science Nutrition Technician

To co-ordinate the use of practical and other resources to Food Science staff and students.

The Food Science and Nutrition Technician will be somebody who places children at the heart of what they do. Working with the Head of Food and Nutrition, they will work accordingly to the schools policies and procedures and comply with the requirements of the school for Health and Safety. They will ensure the efficient running of the Food Science & Nutrition Department. They will be patient, supportive, a good listener, be able to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with students and staff.

Learning Support Assistant (Lady Royd Primary)

To assist and support pupils with special educational and general learning needs.

The Learning Support Assistant’s (LSA) main role is to provide support for pupils with special educational needs. The LSA will ensure that the pupils can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the other children in the class and make progress. Duties will include running specific programmes and activities to assist the pupils’ individual learning and social needs. The LSA will be responsible for implementing the targets on the pupils’ Person Centred Plan (PCP) in liaison with the class teachers and the SENCo.

Working time: 25 hours per week Term Time Only
Salary/Grade: £9,408

Early Years Practitioner (Lady Royd Primary)

To assist and support pupils’ progress in the classroom.

The Early Years Practitioner will be somebody who places children at the heart of what they do. We are looking for an individual to work positively and constructively with children in an Early Years setting. A successful candidate will act as a role model and support the happiness and wellbeing of children within the setting. They will have a strong understanding of behaviour and recognise that all behaviour is a sign of communication. They will understand that there are a range of factors that impact on a child’s behaviour including adverse childhood experiences. They will be patient, supportive, a good listener, be able to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with pupils and families.

Working time: 8:00am – 3:30pm, (1/2 hour lunch) Term Time Only (35 Hours)

To work as part of the Learning Support Team in supporting and including pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities.
