2021 A Level Results 

Congratulations!

To our last ever cohort of Sixth Formers who achieved fantastic A’Level results last week!

Of the cohort of 24 students

  • Students gained an average grade of B- in all three subjects
  • 21 applied to university
  • All 21 students were offered a university place.
  • 19 were gained their first choice of course
  • Students are following 11 different courses including
  • 3 medicine
  • 3 Law
  • 2 Optometry
  • 2 Nursing
  • 2 Teaching
  • 3 Biomedical Science
  • 1 Radiography

Of the 3 remaining students, 1 is taking a gap year and the other 2 are applying for Higher Apprenticeships.

We wish all of our students the very best for their next steps, and look forward to hearing about their future success at university and in the world of work.

A special commendation goes to:

Sahar Ali who gained A* A  A and goes to the University of Leeds to study Medicine.  Tayyiba Bilal who gained A* A* A and goes to Bradford College to study Primary Education. Aliyah Khan who gained A A A B and goes to the University of Bradford to study Law. Zainab Jan Razwan who gained A  A  A and goes to the University of Sheffield to study Medicine. Ifza Zahir who gained A* A  A and goes to the University of Leeds to study Law.

Sahar, featured above, said; "I would like to thank all the teachers at BGGS, from Lady Royd to sixth form, for being so supportive and helping me strive for such aspirational goals and for truly making my school experience an unforgettable one. I will forever be grateful for all the opportunities and experiences I have had at BGGS and for how the school has shaped me into the person I am today. Phenomenal GCSE Success!

Many congratulations to the 2021 cohort who achieved phenomenal results in extremely challenging circumstances.

All their hard work and dedication, together with the commitment and support of their teachers, has resulted in them exceeding the national average.

We are extremely proud of them all and wish them every success for the future.

A special commendation should go to Halimah Sadia and Zahra Tahir who both achieved an outstanding nine grade 9’s (equivalent to a high A*).
